Timité Bassori
Besides one quite experimental short film, Timité BASSORI (1933, Ivory Coast) has made only one feature film as a director. This psychological thriller La femme au couteau (1969) was Ivory Coast's first fiction feature ever made. In 2010, the IFFR screened the two films of Bassori as part of a retrospective of groundbreaking African cinema.
