Sophie ROBINSON is a writer, producer and filmmaker. She has a strong reputation for telling impactful and powerful stories through the emotive characters that are at the core of her films. She specialises in working collaboratively with her subjects to create outstanding documentaries that provide a platform for a wide variety of previously unheard voices. Her film My Beautiful Broken Brain on Netflix was executive produced by David Lynch, nominated for an Emmy and awarded the DOCU award at IDFA and Best Film at the Ahvaz Film Festival in Iran. Surgeons Cut; Living Donor (2020) was awarded an Emmy, RTS award and a BAFTA. She received a special mention from the Alliance of Women Film Journalists for Best Female Director. She is also the director of so&so pictures that are committed to excellence, engaging wide audiences, working with diverse teams and always creating extraordinary, thought-provoking stories. She co-directed I Get Knocked Down (2021) with Dunstan Bruce.
