Slamet Rahardjo Djarot

Slamet Rahardjo Djarot (1949, Serang, Java) studied theatre at the National Academy and played in several classic plays and films. In 1980 he directed his first film, Rembulan dan Matahari. International recognition came in 1990 with Langitku Rumahko. He is chairman of the Comité d'Etude sur le Cinéma Indonésien of the Indonesian Film Council and teaches film directing at the Jakarta Institute of Arts.
