Siddiq Barmak
Barmak Siddiq (Panjshir, Afghanistan, 1962) studied film directing at the University of Moscow. On his return to Afghanistan, he made several short films and worked for the Afghan government film organisation, until his work was banned in 1996. Barmak is now junior minister of culture and makes films.
