Satyajit Maitipe (1964, Sri Lanka) studied Political science, Sociology, English Literature at the Universities of Melbourne and Colombo.He worked as a film journalist, broadcaster, copy writer and as a social worker. He currently teaches language skills at the University of Colombo. Scent of the Lotus Pond is his cinematic debut.<br />
