Sébastien Lifshitz
Sébastien LIFSHITZ (Paris, 1968) studied art history and collaborated with the photographer Suzanne Lafont before he became involved in film. In 1994 he directed his first short film. Later he worked as a trainee director on Claire Denis' Nénette et Boni and directed two other films which were invited to several film festivals. In 2000 he scored a sudden international box-office hit with the tender coming-out story Presque rien.
