Rodrigo Bellott (1978, Santa Cruz de la Serra) went to drama school at the age of thirteen. Then he received a grant to study film at Ithaca University in the USA. He exhibited photos and installations and worked on short films. Sexual Dependency is his first feature and the first film made by a Bolivian director in Bolivia since 1997.<br />

Hip and grim big-city kids' drama from Bolivia (!) does not shun experiment: almost the whole film is in splitscreen. Two images. Twice the pace. An underwear billboard is the binding element in a five parter about race, gender and class, oppression and other universal matters.
