Peter Medak
Peter Medak was born in Budapest but left his country in 1956 for England, where he started his film training. He then moved on to Hollywood, where he worked as producer and assistant director for renowned TV series such as The Alfred Hitchcock hour and The Virginian. His first two 'major' films, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (1972) and The Ruling Class (1972), were both black comedies.
