Independent filmmaker Mahmoud AL MASSAD (1969, Zarqa, Jordan) studied film and art at Yarmouk University in Jordan. He left the country in 1988 and continued to work in the television and film industries in Romania, Italy, Germany and Sweden, making 12 short films. Al Massad divides his time between Jordan and the Netherlands, where he has been living since 1995. <b>Recycle</b> is his first feature-length documentary.<br /><br />

Beautifully shot unpredictable documentary portrait of a disillusioned former Mujahedeen who now scrapes together a living in the poor Jordanian town of Zarqa. Like an Arab Errol Morris, thought Screen. In any case it is surprisingly clarifying.

The title reflects the spasticity,often of necessity, of a Palestinian in a road movie where fact and fiction go hand in hand.
