Leyla Yenirce

Leyla YENIRCE (1992, Kurdistan) is a filmmaker and artist based in Hamburg. She attended the Hamburg University of Fine Arts and created her first solo exhibition, SO MUCH ENERGY, in 2022. Her works draw from an archive of films and photographs that deal with figurations of resistance and aspects of military, media and cultural structures of dominance. Yenirce has exhibited at Haus der Kunst, Munich; Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst, Leipzig and Halle für Kunst Lueneburg and is one of the recipients of the 2022 ars viva Prize for visual arts.
