Krzysztof Kieslowski
Krzysztof Kieslowski (1941) graduated from the Lodz Film and Television School in 1969. He made a large number of documentaries for television before shooting his first feature film Presonel in 1975. In 1979 his international breakthrough followed with Amator. At the 1988 Rotterdam Film Festival, he was selected as one of the twenty directors of the future.
