Karim Kassem
Still: Only the WindsKarim KASSEM (1990, Lebanon) is a photographer, writer and filmmaker. He was born and raised in Beirut. Before discovering his love for film, Kassem worked as a DJ and musician. He moved to New York, where he became involved in filmmaking through directing commercials and music videos. He wrote, directed and starred in Only the Winds, his feature film debut, which had its world premiere at Visions du Réel and screened at IFFR 2021. His third feature, Thiiird, will premiere at IFFR 2023. He lives in Brooklyn, where he runs Screen Productions LLC.
