Jason Reitman

Jason REITMAN (1977, Montreal, Canada) is the son of comedy filmmaker Ivan Reitman. Jason grew up on his father’s film sets. The young Reitman inevitably explored film making on his own. At the age of ten, he began making short videos using his father’s camera. In 1995 Jason started to study pre-med at Skidmore College in Upstate New York but it lasted only a single semester. He then returned to Los Angeles and attended USC film school, where he found his own way of filmmaking. His first feature Thank You for Smoking (2005) was received well. Juno is his second feature.
