Ishan Shukla

Ishan SHUKLA was born and raised in a family of artists where an interest in theatre, comic books and movies was fostered from a young age. After his graduation from the 3D Sense Media School, Singapore in 2008 he started out working in the TV, film and music video industry. After returning to India, he finished his first short film Schirkoa (2016) which screened at more than 120 international film festivals and made history as the first Indian animated short film to qualify for the Academy Awards. In 2020, he founded Red Cigarette Media to develop original, adult oriented animated films, graphic novels and video games. Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust (2024) is his debut feature film.
