Huang Shuqin
HUANG Shuqin (1940, Shanghai) is a daughter of the famous 1940s director Huang Zuolin. She graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 1964. She began her career as an assistant to Xie Jin in 1979 at the Shanghai Film Studio. Her films have won awards in China, Russia, Brazil and France. She also directed the acclaimed television serial Fortress Besieged (1990).
