Houshang Golmakani

Houshang Golmakani (1954, Gorga, Iran) studied film at the College of Theatre in Teheran. He started his career in 1972 as journalist and film critic. He then became editor-in- chief of Film Monthly, the oldest and most influential Iranian film magazine (founded in 1982). Golmakani translated a large number of original screenplays into Farsi (e.g. Paris Texas, La Notte).
