Gavin Hood

Gavin HOOD (Johannesburg, South Africa) studied law and (at the University of California), screenwriting and directing. He directed educational dramas for the South African Department of Health before directing his first short film, in 1998. The film went on to win thirteen international film festival awards and paved the way for his feature debut, A Reasonable Man, which he wrote, directed, co-produced and starred in. Tsotsi is his third feature film.
