Edie Ichioka

Edie ICHIOKA began her film career in 1988 as an assistant editor at the Saul Zaentz Film Center in Berkeley, California. She felt very privileged when she began working as Walter Murch's assistant editor, e.g. on The English Patient, Godfather Trilogy and Godfather III). Since cutting rooms have become computer based and there are fewer opportunities to learn by looking over the boss' shoulder to discover his methodologies and philosophies of film making, she decided to make a documentary on Murch’s approach to editing, together with her husband David (Bleiman) Ichioka.
