Dongnan Chen

Dongnan CHEN (China) is a documentary filmmaker. She graduated from the documentary programme at New York University. She has worked at media organisations in both China and the United States. Her film Sound of Vision (2012), for which she worked as one of the producers, filmmakers and editors, was nominated for an Emmy award and premiered at Hot Docs. The Trail From Xinjiang (2013) has been screened at various festivals, universities and museums worldwide. Even though the film is censored in China, it has become one of the most-watched independent documentaries underground. Singing in the Wilderness (2021) is her first feature documentary.
