Cristian Mungiu

Cristian MUNGIU (1968, Romania) studied English and American literature before attending the Academy for Theatre and Film in Bucharest. He wrote screenplays, was assistant director and made short films before he completed his debut feature film Occident (2002). With his second feature film, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007), he won a Golden Palm in Cannes.
