Chu Yuan

CHU Yuan (Zhang Baoxian) (1934, China) is the son of the famous Cantonese film actor Zhang Huoyou, who moved to Hong Kong with his family. He worked from 1955 as assistant director for e.g. Wu Hui and Qin Jian. This own third film Kelian Tianxia Fumu Xin / Pity All the Parents' Hearts (1960), was well received by the critics and made his career: he has now made more than 130 films. for e.g. the Cathay Studios and the Shaw Brothers.
