Cheick Oumar Sissoko

Cheick Oumar Sissoko (1955, Bamako) studied African history and sociology and then film at the Lumière Centre. His first two features made him a spokesman for politically committed film-making in Mali. After the change of government, he took over the directorship of the Lumière Centre.
