Buddhadeb Dasgupta

Buddhadeb DASGUPTA (1946, Anara, India) is a celebrated Bengali poet and novelist and is also regarded as one of the most important Indian film makers. He has won several prizes for his work, including three national film prizes for best film and a special director's award at the 2000 Venice film festival for Uttara, which also screened in Rotterdam.
