Bu Wancang

Bu Wancang (Richard Po, 1903 - 1974) was born in Anhui Province but grew up in Yangzhou. At the age of eighteen he went to work in the film industry, he made his début as director in 1925. When the Sino-Japanese War broke out, Bu became involved with the left-wing literary movement and worked with playwright and theatre director Tian Han. In 1951 he founded the Taishan Film Company.
