Betzabé García

Filmmaker and producer Betzabé GARCÍA (1990, Mexico) started with short films, before receiving international acclaim for her feature documentary Kings of Nowhere (2015). The film won several awards, including the SX:Global Audience Award at SXSW and Best Documentary at the Morelia International Film Festival. García made the short documentary Unsilenced (2016) as part of the New York Times Op-Docs documentary series A Moment in Mexico, comprised of six Mexican non-fiction shorts. The series was nominated for an Emmy Award.
