Artificiel

Alexandre Burton, Julien Roy and Jimmy Lakatos are three artists based in Montreal, Canada and operating in the new media realm. As the Artificiel group, they generalise their implication in order to put forward works that go beyond the boundaries of their specialities. Their works have been shown in festivals such as: Sonar, ArsElectronica, Transmediale and Mutek. They are mostly known for the Condemned_Bulbes project: an installation/performance of giant light bulbs which was awarded an honorary mention at Ars Electronica in 2005.
