Allison Anders
Allison Anders (Ashland, Kentucky) hitched around the USA in her difficult teens before leaving for England at the age of 18. She attended the UCLA Film School as a single young mother. Since her success with Gas Food Lodging (1992) she is regarded as one of America's most important woman directors.
