Alex Law

Alex Law was born in 1953 and studied literature at the University of Hong Kong. After graduation in 1976 he worked for Radio Television Hong Kong, for instance as assistant to Ann Hui and Allen Fong. Then he started directing. After making King Chau and Lady Yu he moved to the United States where he studied film at UCLA. After his return to Hong Kong he produced Illegal Immigrant, An Autumn's Tale and Now You See Me, Now You Don't. His first cinema feature was Painted Faces (1988).
