Nomusa Nkabinde
Nomusa Nkabinde is a Tshwane University of Technology, Film programme graduate with a B-Tech in Film and Television Production, 2019, with a focus on scriptwriting. She has been a Script Writer for made for TV Movies – Kutsa the Ghost of a Skhothane and Love Thokoza both currently streaming on Showmax; in 2013-14 she was selected as one of the writers for the NFVF “Women in Film Slate”and also the NFVF’s Sedibe Spark Writers Programme in 2016.
This propelled Nomusa to opportunities writing on hugely successful drama series such as Lockdown and Mzali Wami on Mzansi Magic, and later head writing for telenovela The Black Door on e.tv (2022), and doing story development through her own business “Ndebele UniqueOn CREATIVE SERVICES AGENCY”. Besides being a practitioner in Industry, Nomusa has also held commissioning editor roles at both Mzansi Magic (Multichoice) and e.tv (eMedia); giving her a wealth of experience in broadcasting as well.
Nomusa also loves to teach script writing and story writing, and in 2021 she got to do this on the “Township narrative Programme” by Lesego Tau Education Foundation in Soweto, where she taught young aspiring writers the process of taking ideas from concept to screen.
