Naledi Bogacwi

Naledi brings on board her years of artistic education which she gained throughout her basic education from Mmabane Cultural Centre and the National School of the Arts. After completing her matric as president of the SRC at NSA Naledi joined the Tshwane University of Technology film programme where she obtained her honours degree in motion picture production. Her strong academic background and extensive artistic knowledge saw her get appointed as head of department of film at City Varsity. She has gone on to be appointed as a screenwriting lecturer at AFDA and TUT respectively. Naledi has produced three short films. For her debut short film she worked with professionals like Sello Maake KaNcube and Luthuli Dlamini. Her film career was mentored by multiple award winning director Adze Ugah. Naledi paved her way as an award winning film producer and writer when her debut feature film Letters of Hope won the Best Artistic Bravery Award at the 40th DIFF.

Trial by Media Films – South Africa

Award winning Independent Production House Trial By Media Films was founded by Naledi Bogacwi and Vusi Africa. Since its inception the production house has produced three short films and one feature film. Our debut feature film Letters of Hope premiered in competition at the 40th DIFF, where it won the Artistic Bravery Award. The film went on to open the 5th edition of the South African International Film Festival, commonly known as RapidLion. In the year 2020 founder and director Vusi Africa was awarded the with the inaugural SAFTA for Best Emerging Filmmaker after his critical success with Letters of Hope.
