Mi papá el camión

After losing everything in a devastated flood, Bonifacio, a clumsy and stubborn countryman who can do nothing but try to unsuccessfully sell eggs on the road, travels to the city with his little daughter to become a truck driver. While misadventures take father and daughter down opposite paths in the city, Bonifacio discovers his true calling: being a dad.

What have you achieved so far with the BoostNL programme?

We have managed to improve and thoroughly develop various aspects of the project, bringing it closer to its realisation. Therefore, the project is more mature and robust. We refined the identification of the target audience and enhanced pitching tools to better sell and articulate the project. Additionally, the script has substantially grown at its core and main narrative thread, thanks to the guidance obtained at BoostNL. We now have a broader vision of the technical possibilities available to achieve the required visual identity. This has proven to be a valuable tool that we are considering with our co-producer.

What would be your ideal next steps for your project?

The ideal next steps for the project would involve strengthening specific processes in the pre-production of the animation, such as storyboarding and animatics. It would also be beneficial to seek a co-producer or ally in the Netherlands. Finally, obtaining guidance on distribution and promotion would be ideal.
