Luigi Chimienti
Luigi Chimienti is co-founder of dispàrte. He graduated in Cinema and then in Publishing before graduating in Production at the Film School "Gian Maria Volonté", where he met Alessandro Amato with whom he founds dispàrte. He has produced feature films and shorts selected and awarded worldwide and attended international workshops. His latest feature Margini by Niccolò Falsetti, premiered at the Venice’s International Critics’ Week (Audience Award). Maternal by Maura Delpero, premiered in Concorso Internazionale at Locarno Film Festival (where it won four awards). He’s an EFA and EPC member, part of the MAIA, MIDPOINT, Rotterdam Lab and EAVE networks.
dispàrte - Italy
dispàrte is a Rome-based production company founded by Alessandro Amato and Luigi Chimienti. Its latest releases are Margini, premiered at the Venice’s International Critics’ Week (Audience Award) and Maternal, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in competition, where it won four awards. Dispàrte develops projects by both emerging and established authors and stories with an international appeal and a wide audience, through a careful editorial process and within international workshops such as ACE, EAVE and TFL, and presented at major international co-production markets. Its slate of in-development projects includes features in co-production with Argentina, Belgium, Chile, France, Slovenia and Portugal. Currently in post-production with “Windless” by Pavel G. Vesnakov, a co-production with Red Carpet Films (Bulgaria) and winner of an WiP Prize at Karlovy-Vary IFF.
