Liliana Lasprilla
Liliana Lasprilla has more than ten years of experience line producing and executive producing Portuguese, Spanish and Brazilian projects. As Executive Producer, her films include Anna Azevedo’s documentary Saudade do Futuro (2020), a co-production between Portugal and Brazil and Grand Prize at Brasília International Film Festival; documentary Vento de sal (2019), by Anna Azevedo, ABD Award at É Tudo Verdade International Festival; Luana (2018, FIC), by Pedro Magano, which screened at Gijón International Film Festival, Shorts Mexico, Cartagena Film Festival, Cinetoro, Capital Cities or Fest Imatges; documentary Brothers (2015), winner of the Grand Prize at Caminhos do Cinema Português and Best Doc at FEST - New Directors, New Film Festival. In 2022 Liliana founded Sabina Films and she is also the Industry Coordinator of Porto/Post/Doc Film Festival since 2021.
Sabina Films – Portugal
Sabina Films was founded in 2022 by Liliana Lasprilla, to produce projects with an elevated cinematic approach and a humanist and socially committed vision, working closely with new filmmakers. The company is currently in post-production for Vanessa Rodrigues’s The Spell Of Sand, in co-production with Real Ficção, and in production for the pilot of Samba de guerrilha, a documentary-animated series by Luca Argel—both projects supported by ICA-Portuguese Cinema Institute. We Are Stardust by Martha Appelt is the most recent project in development and Sabina Films is actively seeking other fiction or documentary projects with new national and international talents and partners.
