Laura Egidos

Laura Egidos Plaja (Barcelona, 1996) is a producer and co-founder of Contraria. Previously, she worked at the international sales agency Film Factory as well as executive produced the feature documentary Cane Malice (2021) and the short film Solo (2022), a Gaudí Awards Nominee and a Goya Awards candidate. She has also worked in production coordination of diverse films, from the intimate Ojos Negros (2019, Silver Biznaga at Malaga Film Festival) to the Netflix blockbuster Society of the Snow (2023, J.A. Bayona). At Contraria, she produces aspiring directors' short films and debut features. Among them, Jordi López Navarro’s short film Lion Dreams and his debut feature The Day After, Alberto Gross Molo’s upcoming short film As It Was and his film March 14th.

Contraria Media SL - Spain

Contraria is a Barcelona-based creative production company founded in 2022 by Laura Egidos Plaja and Albert Aynés Clapés. Their aim is to produce interesting stories for all audiences: quality, entertaining and thought-provoking content. To date, Contraria has produced the short film Lion Dreams (2023, Jordi López Navarro) and is in pre-production of the short film As It Was (Alberto Gross Molo). They are also developing López’ debut feature The Day After (selected in the Sitges Film Festival’s FanPitch 2023) and Gross’ first film, March 14th (finalist of the XIX Julio Alejandro Screenplay Award by Fundación SGAE and participant in the workshops Ekran+ 2021, My First Script 2021, Faberull 2022 and La Incubadora ECAM 2023).
