Ivana Urízar
Ivana Urízar is an independent producer based in Asunción, Paraguay. She’s the founder of Cine Mío and is currently producing the documentary feature Bajo las banderas, el sol (dir. Juanjo Pereira) as well as other projects in development. Her short film Veo veo, by Paraguayan director Tania Cattebeke (2019), received awards and recognition at prestigious international festivals, including the Open Doors Screenings in Locarno Film Festival (2023). Her previous works as Production Manager include Matar a un muerto (dir. Hugo Giménez, 2020) and Las herederas (dir. Marcelo Martinessi, 2018), among other titles. She has been selected to be part of the Open Doors Producers' Lab in the 76th. Locarno Film Festival (2023), where she was awarded participation in the Rotterdam Lab.
Cine Mío - Paraguay
Cine Mío is a young production company based in Asunción, Paraguay. They develop and produce short and feature films, both fiction and documentary. It believes in experimenting with language and narrative forms to tell stories that explore identity, memory, time and roots. One of its main challenges is to achieve the emotional impact that will allow the audience to reflect on humanity—from the great historical events that cross societies to the small but universal personal stories that mark our path. Cine Mío is currently producing Juanjo Pereira’s documentary Bajo las banderas, el sol, and is developing the documentary Los silencios de mi nombre (dir. Oli Ruiz) and feature film La guerra de las mujeres (dir. Anna Recalde Miranda).
