A projection programme of four early works defining the basics, using found footage, permanent markers, India ink and hydrous water colours.

OBR#2

In his most elaborate installation to date, McClure references the seventeenth-century painting Interior with a Woman at the Virginals. Throughout the exhibition, the artist will continue to alternate and animate objects and light, implementing the parameters of his cinematic performances into the gallery spaces.

Courting Daylight in Saving Darkness

Consists of Roto-Optics (1994-98), Cremator (2001), Presepe (2003) and Chiodo (2003). ‘Quadruple 16mm projector works from the Crib and Sift series (2001-2004). Film orientations and combinations for prints sourced from an original “Ink Sneeze” re-enacted on modified projectors that lend grace to incidental manners.' (Bruce McClure)
