Godisamang Khunou

Godisamang Khunou is an award-winning filmmaker and the owner of Mogale Pictures. A production company that is driven by the PAN African movement and African feminism to validate the experiences and emotions of African women.

Her documentary feature titled POWA (People Opposing Women Abuse) is in co-production with Connect TV, and follows high profile cases of gender based violence in South Africa, and the incredible support and solidarity from the organization. 

It was selected for the official pitches at 2023 Fame Week; it is currently in Rough Cut Stage. Her multi-award winning documentary titled  Black Women And Sex was selected for the 2022 Encounters Rough Cut Lab, has completed production in South Africa, Nigeria and Zambia and is currently in post-production. 

The documentary series that she wrote, is producing and directing titled He Had It Coming is in co-production with Urban Brews studios, and has won at the 2022 Durban Film Mart, for the best non-fiction. She worked at the Multichoice Group for seven years, and started her career as a freelancer for films like Tell Me Sweet Something back in 2014.
