Franco Bautista

Franco Bautista is co-founder of Casa Vermella and a documentary producer from Chihuahua, México. His recent projects as a producer are the short film Apnea, (FICM, GIFF, Habana, Ícaro and Huelva) and the documentary feature Norte (2022) by Natalia Bermúdez, which won the Best Documentary award at the Guanajuato International Film Festival 2023. He is currently working on his documentary debut: Rosaleswood: Chihuahua's lost cinema, which received the Eká Naweame (2022) and EFICINE (2023) grants. He is also developing the fiction project Rosas Verdes, which received Development of Projects - IMCINE (2022) and participated in the Development Workshop of the IBERMEDIA Program (2019).

Casa Vermella - Mexico 

Casa Vermella was founded in 2022 to promote film projects led by new and decentralised voices. Their first feature documentary Norte (2022) directed by Natalia Bermúdez, won Best Documentary Feature at GIFF. Currently they are in production of their second documentary feature: Rosaleswood: Chihuahua's lost cinema and developing the film Rosas Verdes (IMCINE - Project development 2022 and Ibermedia program 2019).
