Fawzia Mahmood

Fawzia Mahmood is a filmmaker and producer of fiction and documentary from, living and working in London. She graduated from the National Film and Television School with an MA in Producing in 2017, having previously studied economics and South Asian history. Her work has screened at Locarno, London, Vancouver, San Diego, São Paulo, and Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Festivals, amongst others. Fawzia is currently developing an international slate of projects across genre, platform and budget level. She is an alumna of Edinburgh Film Festival Talent Lab 2018, Berlinale Talents 2019 and Ji.hlava Emerging Producers 2020.

Based in London, NW Pictures is developing and producing a slate of projects that cut across genre, platform, budget level and borders. The company seeks to centre minoritised voices and cultivate original work with spirit, tenacity and vision.
