Claudio Montesano Casillas
Claudio is an award-winning Mexican-Italian producer and filmmaker with a photojournalistic background, based in Rotterdam. He is the founder and Head of Production at the New Producers Academy (NPA). As an alumnus of the IDFA Emerging Producers Programme and the University of the Arts London (UAL), Claudio has honed his skills in prestigious producer workshops including Eurodoc, EAVE, ACE Producers, and IDFA. Currently, he is working as an independent producer with Scenery and Halal Amsterdam. He is also developing his first feature film, Her Name Was Laboni, scheduled to enter production in September 2024.

NPA Studios, founded in 2021, is an independent production company known for being prolific, edgy, and innovative. It specialises in a diverse range of short and feature film projects, with a particular focus on genres rooted in true stories. Their mission is to actively seek and spotlight narratives from underrepresented communities, bringing to light stories that often go unnoticed.
