Goals at CineMart&nbsp; Secure production funding The production is researching VR in performance art, including new technologies in VR as well. This is a very exciting process and at the same time expensive because we are dealing with different art forms and how to bring them together. We are searching for partners and funds who are willing to go on this journey with us and support the project.&nbsp; Secure international sales&nbsp; We are searching for the right venues to perform the complete piece. We believe that the project is suitable for both theatre-/opera and film festivals. In the Netherlands, we are already in conversation with different venues and festivals. We would like to expand our horizons and bring the work to other countries as well.&nbsp; Secure distribution for theatrical performances&nbsp; To make these international collaborations with venues possible, we would like to collaborate with individuals or companies which can help us with further distribution of the project.&nbsp; Other collaborations&nbsp; Of course, we are always open and love to go in dialogue to see if any other collaborations are possible.Synopsis Orph&eacute;e et Eurydice is both a theatrical and VR opera about the process of mourning. The work is inspired by the opera composed by Christoph Willibald Gluck. A new composition will be written for both voice and electronics. Where most versions of the story only focus on the voice of Orph&eacute;e we want to tell the story from the perspective of both characters. Orph&eacute;e mourns and hopes to sing Eurydice back into his arms. Different from the original interpretation of the story, Eurydice still loves Orph&eacute;e as well but actually doesn&rsquo;t want to go back anymore. She expresses her hesitations and takes distance through movement. The last character is Amore which connects both perspectives and speaks with all its wisdom.&nbsp;Creator's Biographies Robin Coops Multidisciplinary artist Robin Coops (1988, Netherlands) followed the directing program at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. He finished his master's degree at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and finished a second master at the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. In his work, he uses technology to research the tension between the analogue body and the digital machine. Robin is interested in the tension between control and losing control. How we are guided by political, technological, and social systems, or how we manipulate them to move freely in the given circumstances. New technologies are important to this subject matter. In his work, he&rsquo;s using technology to research the tension between the analogue body and digital machine. He uses genres like horror and tech-noir as a device to emphasize the themes. Robin works and collaborates with companies as Silbersee, Oorkaan, and the VR Academy. With his M31 Foundation, he produced and directed the opera 'Der Kaiser von Atlantis' (in collaboration with the Nederlandse Reisopera and the New European Ensemble) and the website/performance Disconnect. He made several music videos for ensembles as The Ragazze Quartet and Stargaze Ensemble. With his music projects 'Human 2.0', 'CHAOS', 'New Realities', and 'The Saga of Sage', he explores how to integrate theatrical and visual elements into a rock concert. Avinash Changa Avinash Changa is an all-rounder in the field of digital concepts and production techniques and a true VR-evangelist. Since founding the award-winning studio WeMakeVR in 2013 he&rsquo;s become a much-requested speaker and guest for international conferences, TV- programs, and other media covering Immersive Media. Highlights include BBC News Live, MIT&rsquo;s EmTech, The Next Web, CodeMotion, and the Guangzhou International Innovation Festival in China. His mission is to bring meaningful applications and content to the world that improve the quality of life for everyone.As an audience member, you will choose to follow the perspective of Orph&eacute;e (the VR experience) or Eurydice (the theatrical dance experience). A third perspective, that of Amore, can be followed in a separate 360 VR experience.
