Chantal Scheiner

After a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s in Literary Studies, Chantal Scheiner interned in distribution. Her first production, Salka Tiziana’s feature debut For The Time Being, premiered in the Bright Future Competition at IFFR 2020. In 2022 she joined Linda Vogel and director Cyril Schäublin’s Zurich-based Seeland Filmproduktion as a producer and she also pursues independent projects.

Seeland Filmproduktion - Switzerland

Founded in 2017, Seeland Filmproduktion is an independent film production company based in Zürich, Switzerland. Run by Linda Vogel, Cyril Schäublin and Chantal Scheiner, the enterprise is named after the novel Seeland (1920) by Robert Walser, in which Walser describes his promenades into the Seeland region in northwestern Switzerland. Focussing on Swiss productions but also aiming for international co-productions, Seeland produces films for the international cinema and festival market. Films produced by Seeland Filmproduktion premiered at festivals such as Berlinale, Locarno, Toronto, Rotterdam, San Sebastián or at the New York Film Festival and have been distinguished with a number of awards.
