International filmmakers spin their favourite Spotify playlist for a very special podcast recording, with a little help from IFFR resident DJ Okkie.
Tiger Radio takes place daily, until Thursday 4 February, from 21:00 to 22:00 hrs in 'de Doelen'.
No other Japanese filmmaker has been involved in cinema in so many different ways like Adachi Masao (1939). Adachi's latest film, Artist of Fasting, will have its international premiere in Rotterdam, and IFFR also presents a retrospective of this remarkable filmmaker and activist.

What does it mean to revisit the classic genres? Especially today, when increasingly, most genres are inching closer to being proclaimed dead?
"Do we need the banner, the label of 'queer,' or can the work just be shown, integrated throughout all the sections of a festival," asks Stephen Kent Jusick, festival director of MIX NYC. Jusick poses his question rhetorically because he, along with the seven other panelists in the 11th and final TigerPro discussion at IFFR, isn’t particularly interested in the answer so much as unpacking the challenges in how queer film and queer identity is commodified in today’s marketplace.
