Ana Maria Mayo
Ana Mayo is a producer based in Medellin, Colombia. She began her career in 2014. Her interest in filmmaking led her to participate in the production of national and international films and series in different positions in the production department, which strengthened her skills, making her grasp the different needs of a project. In 2022 she released her debut film, La Ciudad de las Fieras (The City of Wild Beasts), directed by Henry E. Rincón, which screened in festivals around the world and won several awards, including the Warner Media for best Ibero-American film at the Miami Film Festival, two awards at Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse Festival and a jury special mention at Malaga Film Festival. She is currently working as production manager for different production companies in Colombia, while developing her second feature film Fidel by director Diógenes Cuevas.
Rara Cine - Colombia
Rara Cine is a specialised film production company based in Medellin, Colombia. It develops and produces films with thematic and narrative explorations, seeking to support and champion new voices in Colombian cinema to contribute to diversifying the local film industry. Its short and feature film projects have received development and production incentives from the Colombian Film Development Fund and have screened at renowned film festivals around the world.
