RTM x Rotterdams Open Doek

The monthly film night Rotterdams Open Doek at LantarenVenster is the place for new, short films and provides a springboard for starting filmmakers. No rules, no themes and no age limits: the only thing that counts is talent. Anyone can submit their short film and an adventurous selection is then made by film and media professionals. This makes the film night a networking event and breeding ground for Rotterdam's film scene.

For RTM, Rotterdams Open Doek compiled a special selection of four short films by film talents from Rotterdam. After every film, the maker briefly talks to the audience and director/presenter Shariff Nasr. Together with filmmaker and Gouden Kalf winner Shamira Raphaela, he will discuss the works screened and Shamira will explain the ins and outs of the profession.

In this programme: Karel (Peter Marcus), Bird Guy (Hanna Eenhoorn), Le Vautour (Bart Hoveijn) and Just Go Fucking Surfing (Juul Hesselberth).
