Various events can be blamed for the disappearance of analogue film. Two Points of Failure uses an anecdote from 1976, when Jean-Luc Godard commissioned the development of a handy 35mm camera with the compactness of an 8mm and the user-friendliness of the Portapak, the first portable video camera. The image looks like a liquid slide disintegrating in a chemical solution; a memento mori for a film medium.
