Van de jaren 80 tot de neergang in de jaren 2010, waren videotheken de dagelijkse thuisbasis voor filmcultuur: plekken waar iedereen een film kon huren. Ons Focusprogramma Hold Video in Your Hands nodigt het publiek uit om de verschillende culturen die uit videotheken zijn voortgekomen \u2013 zowel op als buiten het scherm \u2013 opnieuw te ontdekken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Van donderdag 6 tot en met zaterdag 8 februari wordt het community<\/em>-aspect van VHS nieuw leven ingeblazen door samen te komen rond de VHS-speler bij WORM. Voormalige lokale videotheekhouders tonen  hun hoogtepunten uit hun VHS-collecties met internationale videofans en experts. Verwacht alles van homevideo\u2019s tot obscure cultklassiekers. Neem je eigen tape mee of kom gewoon een kijkje nemen in het verleden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We zijn op zoek naar hoogtepunten uit jouw collectie en meer, zoals trouwvideo\u2019s, opgenomen voetbalwedstrijden of concerten, fragmenten uit een bizarre video die je van een vriend hebt gekregen, enzovoort. We hebben geen ruimte om volledige films te programmeren, maar je bent van harte welkom om je anekdotes te delen samen met de beste VHS-sc\u00e8nes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gebruik dit formulier als je je eigen VHS-tape of videofragment wilt meenemen om het aan anderen te laten zien! Invullen kan tot 24 januari.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\t
