Zhu Wen

In 1994 Zhu Wen decided to quit his job and become a selfemployed writer. Since then he has published four anthologies of short stories, a collection of poetry and a novel, all of which proved popular among young intellectual readers. He also wrote the screenplays for Rainclouds over Wushan (Zhang Ming, 1995), Seventeen Years, (Zhang Yuan, 1999) and Hainan, Hainan (Zhang Yuan, 2001). Seafood is his first feature as director.
