Yuri Mamin

Yuri Mamin (1946) graduated in 1970 from the Institute for Theatre, Music and Film in what was then Leningrad, after which he worked as a theatre director in Velikie Luki and Leningrad. In 1976 he took his first steps in film when he joined Lenfilm as an assistant director. He completed his training in directing and scriptwriting at the Moscow film academy VGIK and has worked since 1988 as feature director with Lenfilm.
