Willie Doherty

Willie DOHERTY (b. 1959, UK) has been working with video since 1993. His work has developed out of an engagement with the contested landscape of the North of Ireland. His films have been exhibited internationally, including the biennales in Venice and São Paulo and dOCUMENTA 13 in Kassel, Germany. In 1994 and 2003, Doherty was shortlisted for the prestigious Turner Prize for his video installations.
